Oneonta Workers’ Compensation Lawyer, Christopher “Kip” Wilson built his career around representing injured workers and ensuring they receive the benefits they are entitled to under the law. Education:
Born and raised in Syracuse, Mr. Wilson graduated with Honors from Wesleyan University. Next, he earned a Masters in Chemistry from Northwestern University. He received his Juris Doctorate from Cornell Law School.
Career:
After law school, he worked as an Assistant District Attorney at the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office.
Kip moved to Oneonta, NY in 2004. Since then, he has focused his career on representing injured workers in Oneonta region. He takes pride in helping injured workers navigate the complexities of the workers’ compensation system. He not only fighting for his his clients before the Workers’ Compensation Board but also in building strong working relationships with his clients, guiding them step by step through the Workers’ Comp claims process, to make sure they feel informed and supported. His approach combines rigorous legal strategy with genuine empathy, ensuring that his clients’ voices are heard and their rights are protected.
Personal:
In addition to his legal practice, Mr. Wilson is active in professional organizations dedicated to the rights of injured workers. He has presented on topics related to workers’ compensation law, including the Injured Workers Bar Association.
Outside of the office, Mr. Wilson enjoys spending time with his family, exploring the outdoors, and supporting local community initiatives. His two children ages 15 and 13 attend the Oneonta School District. His wife is local teacher. Kip is a dedicated hiker: he hiked the Catskill 3500 peaks both in the summer and winter, he hiked every hiking trail in the Catskills, and summited the 100 highest public peaks in the Catskills. He is a lifetime member of both the 3500 Club and the Catskill Mountain Club. Kip and his son are avid skiers; Kip worked as a ski instructor while in high school and college. Mr. Wilson is a member of the First United Presbyterian Church in Oneonta.
